HCA workers in Florida sound alarm on staffing shortages leading to unsafe conditions

Earlier this month, healthcare workers represented by 1199SEIU rallied at HCA Florida Largo Hospital to warn the public of how short-staffing at their HCA-owned facilities have created unsafe conditions for patients.

According to Care Crisis, a report by SEIU, staffing levels at HCA hospitals in Florida are 32% lower than the state average.

HCA workers in Florida are continuing their fight to, as one worker at HCA Woodmont Hospital put it, “hold HCA accountable and ensure that executives do right by us, our patients and our communities.”
